Re: Canon IR C5030 E602-4000 bypass and Page Count
Error Code E602 4000
The code is related to a Hard Drive failure.
Will the machine allow you to get into Safe Mode to reformat the Hard Drive.& reload system software.

Re: Canon IR C5030 E602-4000 bypass and Page Count
E602-4000. Blank screen (no progress bar) with a solid green led on the Control Panel. The Fans turn and the imageRUNNER does it's rotation, after three minutes an E602-4000 appears.
Workaround :
After checking that the HDD and SDram (boot rom located on the bottom right of MCON1) were good, replacing MCON2 (FM4-3838-000) resolved the error.
Workaround :
The machine had bad memory preventing the hard drive from being formatted properly and not allowing the system software to be loaded.
Replace Dimm memory on Main Controller 1 part number FM4-0831-000
Workaround :
Replacing the Hard Drive, Main Controller 1 and Main Controller 2 did not resolve the problem. Voltage to the Hard Drive was checked at J105 from the Riser PCB and the voltage was within specification. In this case, the SATA Signal Cable at J107 from the Riser PCB to the Hard Drive was defective.
The Cable was replaced to resolve the issue. Part NumberFK2-8432-000).
and no you will not be able to access that information while in an error state.Accidents don't just happen. They must be carelessly planned.Comment

Re: Canon IR C5030 E602-4000 bypass and Page Count
Finally working on this machine again. We replaced the hard drive. Then sent the Main Controller 2 out to NWRS to get tested and repaired. It tested fine but was missing 1 of the dims which gave them the same E602-4000 error in their machine with the dim removed. We bought the DIMM from them and put the MCON2 back in the machine. Still the same error with the DIMM installed now.
I powered the machine up and went into download mode. Hooked up my laptop with a crossover cable. When I opened SST it looks like I is not connecting. I attached a screen shot of the SST screen.canon.jpgComment

Re: Canon IR C5030 E602-4000 bypass and Page Count
Ok I registered the firmware in SST. Was able to connect to the copier and format the hard drive and load the firmware and got to this screen.sststart.jpg
On the screen on the copier it did say it was finished and going to restart. When it did restart it went to an E0746-0034 error code. I turned the machine off and back on and then it actually went to the main menu.
Now am I still supposed to do something else as the SST program is saying? Thanks for the help.Comment

Re: Canon IR C5030 E602-4000 bypass and Page Count
Before I got a chance to do anything my computer went to the blue screen of death. Is there any way to get back to where I was and finish loading? The copier does boot to the main menu now. Or do I have to start all over again loading everything?Comment

Not sure the version. This was the name of the zip file 20120418iAC5051_V2v690302US20120410.0690302.
How do you get into service mode. Looking in the manual and it doesn't say.Comment

Re: Canon IR C5030 E602-4000 bypass and Page Count
Enter service mode level 1 by pressing the Settings / Registration button, then 2 & 8 at the same time, then the Settings / Registration Button again.
Are u trained on this product ???????????????
u can update firmware on this series directly from the control panel
Note: If Updater does not appear on this screen, make sure to activate eRDS.
Ensure proper IP address, Subnet Mask, Gateway and DNS settings before attempting to enable eRDS.
Select Mode List > Copier > Function > Install. Set eRDS to 1, then press OK. Select COM-TEST and select OK. Communication with the UGW server is necessary for Updater to work. This will not be available until COM-TEST result is OK!.
Select Mode List > Copier > Option > FNC-SW: Set CDS-FIRM to 1 and Set CDS-UGW to 1.

Re: Canon IR C5030 E602-4000 bypass and Page Count
Personally I never flash these machines with SST. Use the USB files if available or write the firmware to a flash drive using SST. Make sure firmware is in ROOT folder on flash drive. Stick it in the machine, hold down 2 and 8,power up and away you go.Comment

I reloaded the firmware Re: Canon IR C5030 E602-4000 bypass and Page Count
I reloaded the firmware from USB just to be sure. When the machine restarted it went to a E746-0034 error. It did this before when I loaded it with SST from the laptop when it restarted also. I turned it off and on again and it went right to the main menu. Now I am getting a E027-0200 error. I checked the Magenta developer and where it sits in and didn't see any damage. Opened up the back the motor for the magenta is rotating, I sent the Drum driver PCB to NWRS to get repaired and they said it tested fine. Also here is picture of the version form the service menu. I can't print it all out with the developer error.20130819_145048.jpg Appreciate all the help thank you.Comment
