    canon IR2318 does not boot

    ..i have canon ir2318..when i power on the copier start to initialize and the loading bar reaches
    to the middle then stop there..anybody seen this?and what is the solution?

    Can you put the machine in download mode?I will try first with new firmware.

      The manual tells you what the boot up sequence of the progress bar means....it may be HDD or it MAY be SDRAM.

        This machine does not have a HDD to store its systems program unlike the other models. I would instead suggest that you check the connections to the pcbs to ensure proper contacts, try also to remove and reseat the memory modules, ensuring that the seat and make proper contacts with slot. u may then try the downloads if the above fails.

          as friend said try to remove the Sdram and clean it then put it back

            unplug LAN pcb (NETWORK I/F PCB)/ power up/ see what shows
