Attaching sender name in scan to email.

We have a Canon Imagerunner Advance C5051. We are using our corporate email address book. We are not using a local address book within the machine.

Is there a way to attach a sender name when you scan to email? Currently, we setup a fake sender email account to get by, but we would like to be able to select ourselves when we do a scan to email. As far as I can figure out, the reply-to function only searches within local address books, and we are not using them. Can this be pulled somehow from the corporate address book (LDAP)?

    Thank you for any help.

you would have to get the universal send advanced feature set so you can enable authentication or you could simply change the name of the document when scanning the originals so the person recieving the email knows this when the see the email.

You can change the subject line and the document name before scanning the originals.
Accidents don't just happen. They must be carelessly planned.

Would someone be willing to expand on the above post a bit? I'm not following. I do computer hardware, and I'm simply helping with this copier project.
