    Decurling unit on iRC-ADV 9070.

Back here with a strange question ...

    I installed a Canon iRC-ADV 9070 without finisher ...
But the machine does not detect the unit decurling .....
    It's normal?
And then I must install the finisher in order to recognize the unit ?

    Thank you.

you need an extra kit ( COPY TRAY P1 ) with a fan and exit tray.
    decurler is not used.

you cannot make copies with decurler ONLY ( no finisher) if the system software is below a certain version.
    upgrade system anyway to latest.

Just put the latest firmware you have.
I tried testing copies on the first ones I installed before putting the finisher on and I would get a close door message, then later by accident I saw others without that message so I guessed firmware version. I always upgrade firmware as I install them, so I do not remember what version shows the close door message. It could be version 7 or something like that.

I am not sure what you are trying to do, so her is the complete version.

If your custumer does not want a finisher, you cannot use the decurler unless you are going to drop the copies in a box or make your own exit tray.
The plan is to attach a Copy Tray P1 to the engine. The Kit comes with a fan which goes in the exit door, to keep the paper on the tray.

If you have a finisher, upgrade the system software and all will be well.
If your version is very low go to single, and upgrade your finisher only first, or you will get an e-code.
