How can i set up auto receive fax

I have canon ir 5070 with fax option but could not set it up for receive fax any idea . Thanks in advance

all you have to do is connect it to a working phone line, with a telephone cable, and get someone to send you a fax, or you send someone a fax.

press fax, tab punch in the receivers fax no, and press the green button.
machines with universal send have the fax button after pressing the send tab

Thanks for rapid reply but my problem is that i cannot receive fax it rings but cannot receive even for ten ring it doesen;t go to receive mode

try service mode> fax> clear> all clear in case someone set it on manual.

if it worked before, and now stopped working, you are looking at phone company problem,modem, ncu or main controller

I had a case where the guy moved and Bell offered to redirect his faxes to a server, then he could login and print them. He still called for copier service , to make his fax receive like before.
