[Misc] Color calibration stability on C7055i

    Hello,

I have a Canon C7055i with Fiery A1 for 6 months and i encounter color stability, in fact i have to calibrate it many times per day and i never obtain the same color if a print same document one day and the day after. I have discover too that the color depend on weigth of paper i print :

    Have you any idea ?

    Many thanks in advance

Color reproduction Varying While Printing via an imagePASS A1
Tighten the grounding screws for the Interface pcb located on Main Controller 2. Some of the screws may not have been not tightened properly during the installation.

3 types of shading correction you can do on a imageRUNNER ADVANCED Series copier.

    1)Densitometer Correction
    2)Visual Correction
    3)Print Server Correction

?? reason for going in service mode needed ??
be aware of what u do in service mode without training u can cause more issues
To enter Service mode level 1 by pressing the Settings / Registration button, then 2 & 8 at the same time, then the Settings / Registration Button again.

it seems you are not trained on the product//
that would explain lack of knowledge on calibration methods on this model

best to acquirer some manuals on this product/

          hello,

I'v done all the thing mentionned in your post (some of them i knowed soon) but there is always a problem between different weigth of paper , i explain:

-I use the same document and i print it once on 80 gr paper and once on a 250 gr paper (color copy quality) with programmation of driver for each different weight. ----->Strange : i can see that the colors are different between this two prints !!!!

          - Yet i put 80 gr in tray but i program the driver with 250 gr paper : i get the same color with programmation of 250gr in tray and really 250gr paper.

So we can say that the color difference is not about paper weigth but driver programmation !

I have a Konica Minolta printer too and the color is the same between thin and thick paper so my question is is there way to correct this problem ?

          Thanks.

          If i print

Re: Color calibration stability on C7055i

is the paper tray being used for 250g >programed for Heavy 4 ??
Heavy 3 / 4 - 271gsmDo not use custom paper types when doing calibrations. Only use paper specified for calibration on the engine being calibrated. On iR ADV C5000 machines the types are Plain, Heavy 1/Heavy2 and
            Heavy 3.
On iR ADV C7000 / C9000 machines the types are Plain,
            Heavy1/Heavy2, and Heavy3/Heavy4.
If a print server (Fiery) is in use, calibrate the engine first then the server. A visual shading correction can be done on the engine if necessary, otherwise, only an Auto Adjust Gradation in necessary if a
print server is not in use.
