Which driver are you using? PCL or Fiery Postscipt, both will work, only diff is driver UI and postscript offer better color matching features.

Under the "Ports" of printer driver, are you using 9100 port or LPR? If it is LPR, make sure queue name is "print". If 9100, make sure C1 itself has that port open(enable)

Can u print out a CONFIG PAGE ????
How is the Crossover Cable ??

In service mode select Function level one, Clear MMI. Next turn off the machine.
This process will clear backup data for the copy operation panel.

Note: It will be necessary to re-select the printer option and set it to "3" after this procedure.

The Printer will try to connect to the Device at Turn On. You will have to quickly get back into Service Mode and re-establish the the Interface Connection.

Copier>Option<Int-Face>Img-Cont from "0" to "3" Turn Off the machine and back On.

Print out all of the Service Mode settings and firmware versions on the copier:
POST THEM HERE------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. Enter Service Mode by hitting Additional Functions, 2 and 8, then Additional Functions.
2. Select Copier.
3. Press Functions.
4. Hit MISC-P.
5. Select P-PRINT and hit OK.
6. A Copy Service Report will print out containing the Service Mode settings and firmware versions for the copier.

PING utility is used to verify connectivity between the imageRUNNER and other network equipment. The feature can be found under the following:
•Additional Functions > System Settings > Network Settings > TCP/IP Settings > PING Command.
To PING a device on the network:
1. Press the Additional Functions.
2. Press System Settings.
3. Press Network Settings.
4. Press TCP/IP Settings.
5. Press PING Command. Type in the IP Address you want to PING. (NOTE: you can only ping by IP Address and NOT hostname)
6. Press Start. If there is a reply, the message will be 'Response from the host'. If no reply, then the message will be 'No response from host'.

* There is also a PING command test in Service Mode.
Copier > Test > Network > PING

If you get a 'No Response From Host' message as the result, it means that the PING failed. The copier never received a response from the host at the destination ip address.

To test that the copier is functioning correctly, you can attempt to PING the loopback address 127.0.0.1. If this also generates the 'No Response From Host' message, then there may be a problem with the copier's NIC. You can try the following to troubleshoot the NIC:
- Reboot the copier.
- Re-seat the RJ45 of the network cable.
- Try another network cable.
- Re-seat the NIC in the copier.

did you install the driver for the 2620 or the driver for the C2?

The print drivers you need are located here:
Canon U.S.A. : Support & Drivers : imagePASS-C2

that's what i thought you were doing.
that additional function area is used when there is no Fiery.
in the info sent to you by teckat, you meed to set IMG-Cont to 3, reboot, then a PRINT tab will show up on your display. You may only see Copy Scan etc. you have to scroll with the right arrow t, till you see 1 or 2 more screens until PRINT shows up.

If everything is connected right, and your hard drive is functioning properly, You will see IDLE, Imagepass name, etc

press FUNCTION > SETUP
then you can go to Network Setuop and enter your I P address etc.
go through SERVER, NETWORK, PRINTER setup to suit your environment.

2620 is just a slower 3220

Default Password is Fiery.1
If the default was changed you have to reload system software to reset or search for a thread on the connectivity forum about running a special script to retrieve Fiery passwords.

You cannot screw up the Fiery, but you may screw (up) the fairy by reloading system software.
It is just like reloading windows.

DID U READ THE INSTALL MANUAL I POSTED ???

imagePASS C1 v2.0 or higher:

SYSTEM SOFTWARE INSTALLATION:

This section will detail a new System Software installation procedure. The imagePASS-C1 v2.0 introduces a network installation procedure for the System Software.

Network Installation Method:To utilize this network installation procedure, the imagePASS and the computer need to be connected either by a Cross-over Ethernet cable or through a hub or switch with regular Ethernet cables. If connected via the hub/switch, the imagePASS and the computer should be the only two devices attached. All cables should be Category 5 or better and the hub/switch should be capable of 100Base-TX connectivity. The computer that is used for this method should have Windows 2000 or Windows XP, a CD-ROM drive, support for 100Base-TX and approximately 500 MB of Hard Disk space free (if install files will be copied to the computer).
Follow the steps below to utilize network installation method:
1. Print out a Configuration page then shut down and power off the imagePASS-C1 v2.0.
2. Disconnect the network cable from the imagePASS-C1 v2.0 network port. This would be the cable to a customer network, not the Cross-over Ethernet cable that connects to the copier.
3. Flip the imagePASS-C1 v2.0 mode dipswitch 1 (DL) to ON (toward the letters DL).
4. Connect the computer and imagePASS together either with a Cross-over Ethernet cable or through a dedicated hub or switch.
5. Power on the computer.
6. It should not matter whether the computer is set to use a static IP Address or to obtain one automatically.
7. Insert the imagePASS-C1 v2.0 System Software CD into the computers CD-ROM drive.
8. Navigate to the CD-ROM drive and double-click on icon for Install.exe. For a faster installation, the files can be copied from the CD to a location on the computers Hard Disk Drive. If this is done, copy the application file and the folder on the CD to a new folder on the Hard Disk Drive. Do not mix the CD files with other files on the computers Hard Disk Drive. The files may be deleted once the installation is complete.
9. When the Install.exe utility is started, the following screen is displayed:
C1.jpg

10. Power on the copier (which will power on the imagePASS via the PCC).
11. Click the Start button on the installer screen that was shown in step 9.
12. Read the Software License Agreement that will be displayed as shown below:

C1-2.jpg

13. Click on the Agree button to continue the installation process. When the network connection is made between the imagePASS-C1 v2.0 and the computer, the following screen is displayed:

C1-3.jpg

14. The installation process can be checked by observing the indicator on the screen, although the installation process goes slowly initially, the progress speed will increase as the installation goes forward. Wait while the files are copied and installed as shown in the following screen:

C1-4.jpg

15. Click the Exit button when the message is displayed that the installation was successful (the message is shown below). Remove the System Software CD from the computer.

C1-5.jpg

16. Power off the copier (which should power off the imagePASS via the PCC).
17. Dismantle the isolated Ethernet network created for the installation and return the imagePASS-C1 v2.0 to the original network connectivity.
18. Flip the mode switch 1 back to the original position (away from the letters DL).
19. Power on the copier (which should power on the imagePASS via the PCC).
20. Proceed through the normal routine for an initial setup for the imagePASS. Select the proper Language and Market Region, then proceed through Setup to configure the proper settings for Server, Network and Printer. Use the Configuration page printed in step 1.
21. After the imagePASS reboots, allow it to come to Idle and verify functionality.

10. Power on the copier (which will power on the imagePASS via the PCC).
11. Click the Start button on the installer screen that was shown in step 9.
12. Read the Software License Agreement that will be displayed as shown below:

13. Click on the Agree button to continue the installation process. When the network connection is made between the imagePASS-C1 v2.0 and the computer, the following screen is displayed:

14. The installation process can be checked by observing the indicator on the screen, although the installation process goes slowly initially, the progress speed will increase as the installation goes forward. Wait while the files are copied and installed as shown in the following screen:

15. Click the Exit button when the message is displayed that the installation was successful (the message is shown below). Remove the System Software CD from the computer.

Thsnk Teckat! By the way i'm Using ImagePass C2, not the C1, there are some differences, and Yes, i did readed you last post, but there is no way to get into IP SetUp, why, becouse, when i got on SetUp, there ir Run SetUp Option and after that Just To Option Yes O not, if i do yes, then shows a screen asking for a password, the one i don't have.

Hi,

vigour have provide the password to access the Fiery's setup. Once inside try to navigator to part where the IP address can be change as static IP to match your this office's network and "DHCP" of Fiery is off (Your 2-paged Configuration can help a bit based on subtitle in bold).

I believe your machine and Fiery cables link are OK / Fiery's system ought to be fine as you are able to print 2-paged Configuration. Main problem is Fiery is not getting an IP address from router.

Do remember not to hard-switch power off the machine, it will more often corrupted the Fiery system. Go through proper shutdown sequence of Fiery first then the machine. You need a lot of patience when handling Fiery booting up process. All the best, you almost there getting that beast to print from PC
