    Canon IRC 2030 E000074-0000

    Hi,

Got Copier with E000074-000 error code. Check all connections and harnesses, DC controller/PTDS.

    All seems OK!.

Someone else was trying to fix the copier, now is in error code mode.

    Please help.

    Thank you.

The color copy quality is really bad, color is off and light horizontal lines, check the sky-shot on the black drum and it's grey not solid black plus i see 2 inch void area around drum. The drum unit is brand new.
Just want to confirm that the issue is ITB unit.

Copier has 10k copies, but it wasn't working right for couple months and also some other guy was playing here with the copier.

          Thank you for advice.

Is the tech trained on this Advanced series model ????

some techs think they can just walk up and repair anything that prints
E074 is an Error in the Primary Transfer Disengagement Control.
Check SW1 ( Primary Transfer Disengagement Switch) for Displacement

It was the switch , the error code is gone, but I need to confirm the copy quality issue.

              Thank you.

                  Re: Canon IRC 2030 E000074-0000

                  Hi,

This model has black CQ issue. Most of the time, it doesn't display any message when the black toner bottle is empty. This will lead to a lack off black toner on the dev cylinder and ends up with a low density or an error code (E020). I advise you to to verify the black toner bottle content and the black density on Display> Dens > SGNL-K. In normal conditions , it's arround "0". If it isn't the case, you can execute a toner supply, switch "off" and "on". Do it until the toner SGNL-K recovers its normal value (arround 0).

If the black CQ is recurrent, replace the black toner hoper with the new part number: FM3-8084-010000

Replacing the Black drum is not the solution.

                  Rachid.

Thought so, I discovered that today.
E020-0191, colleague ordered main drive assembly, which I fitted (and refitted numerous times) and now can't clear E074.
Got DC cont' and fuser drive assembly on order now.
