Error code E73-0001 is being displayed. I tried checking the feeder/ fixing assembly connectors, they seem to be ok, but the error remains. I need your suggestions please!

are they cracked or damaged? Have you tried shimming the connectors to give them a better connection?

      Hi Songela,

      What is the exact error?

E073 - with the front door closed, the transfer drawer connector or the transfer frame drawer connector is not connected

      E730 - there is a PDL error

Neither of those error's relate to anything to do with the fixing assembly?

      Also check this out http://193.42.253.81/ukweb/Service/h...ghlight=0,E073

Sounds like the connector from the back of the drawer unit that houses the fixing unit and the transfer section the connector is cracked or damaged or there is a piece of paper lodged in behind the drawer. Sometimes it's best to check the simple things first.

      Hope this helps.

the opposite connectors at the backside of the maschine are spring bedded, maybe one is canted, or a spring is broken

            Check the transport/duplex connector.
Paper can get lodged in the connector and a small piece can disrupt the digital communication and commonly, cause error code.

E073-0001 Error Code: Because of deformation of release arm of Fixing Feeder Ass'y
            0008-3779 iR C6800C / iR C6800CN / iR 5800C / iR 5800CN / / iR 5870Ci / iR 5870C / iR 6870Ci / iR 6870C
[ Case in the field ]

As a result of inspection, it was found this symptom occurred because of the following reasons: the Fixing Feeder Ass'y was forcibly pulled out without shifting down the release lever completely at the time of jam clearance or the front cover was forcibly closed without resetting the release lever after the jam clearance.
Consequently, the release arm was deformed [1] and the Fixing Feeder Ass'y was not set deep inside the host machine, resulting in the error code. (The release arm indicated in [2] is normal.)

can be displayed when the transfer drawer connector or the transfer frame drawer connector is not connected although the front cover is closed.

When this symptom occurs, visually inspect the release arm, and replace it with a new one if it is deformed. -----------/FL2-1160 Release Arm

              Problem solved!

A cracked base was observed on connector no. J403 part no. VS1-6314-020. A glue weld was enough to fix it.

I salute you all for the suggestions, reagrds!
