    [Jamming] IR5000 jamming print only

I have 2 IR5000s in a school, print driver is on a 2003 32 bit server and shared, clients are running XP (SP2) and Win7 (32bit)..Each time LG or 11x17 prints are sent, both MFPs jam..paper is getting caught in the turnover section and looks like its hanging on the fingers just inside the duplexor..

I am using version 6.9 for the server, "get device status" works and is reporting the proper size and approximate levels of paper in trays 3 and 4. LT paper runs 100% fine, but if LG or 11x17 is selected, only about 2-3 pages will exit before the jam happens, even the 1st/2nd page out will show signs of trouble on the trail edge..wrinkle, and tear marks from the fingers in the duplexor

Both MFPs will COPY LG and 11x17 all day w/o any problems. I am not a Canon tech, so I'm having one of our techs update/check firmware on the MFP before I go any futher, but I was looking to see if anyone had experianced this before. Thanks, Emujo
If you don't see your question answered in the forum, please don't think it's OK to PM me for a personal reply...I do not give out firmware and/or manuals.

    Re: IR5000 jamming print only

jam codes would be helpful even though you are only seeing it on the print side. I would also check the customers settings in the print driver. turn off "advanced printing features" in the driver and to take it a step further I would connect my laptop and simulate what they are doing and see if it jams going that route.

in the mean time I would be ordering the delivery rollers (all 3) and replace them even though you are only seeing it on the 'prints"
    FB6-6955-000 Roller Inverter
    FB6-5892-000 Roller, Delivery outer
    FB5-3595-000 Roller, Delivery inner
Accidents don't just happen. They must be carelessly planned.
