Ir3245 Printing from Computer forces me to manually select the drawer.

When I try to print to my IR3245 from my computer and change the drop-down to 11X17, I am still forced to walk up to the machine and select thr touch screen to select the drawer before it prints. What could be causing this?

To solve your issue, you've to install the Canon Driver Information Assist Service during the driver installation.

so you are selecting the size in the driver, but not the drawer?
is your machine setup for APD/ADS to automatically accept print jobs and then route them to proper tray accordinly when set to 'AUTO'

Where can I make changes to those settings or determine if the machine is setup for APD/ADS to automatically accept print jobs and then route them to proper tray accordinly when set to 'AUTO' ?


I have the IR3245i hooked up onthe network with all Canon drivers (PCL5e-c_6_v8.70_v6.70_Setup.exe ) installed

additional functions>common settings>Drawer eligibility for APS/ADS.

make sure that the trays are set to 'ON' for printer section.
