    Imagerunner 2020, constant jam light...

    This machine shows constant paper jams at the left of the feed unit(s). Several months back, I went out to address a paper jam issue, but ended up having to UNPLUG one of the two feed units to get it to go away. Now, its done it with the second PF unit. Any one have any idea if the paper sensors simply GO BAD on this machine?

    How about anyone having the parts diagram on this model?

      how about jam codes ?
      delay jam ? stationary jam ??
      Jam Log is included in the Error Log.
      To print out a JAM/ERR Log do the following steps:

      Access Service mode
      hit ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS>(*2)>then hit ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS(*8)
      Scroll until you see "# REPORT" hit OK
      Scroll until you see "REPORT OUTPUT" hit OK
      Scroll until you see "ERROR LOG LIST" hit OK


      jams on prints & copies ??
      all paper type ??

          Printing out a jam code list might be nice if the machine were RUNNING, but unable to do so if its not....

              need to remove unit & inspect/ known as get down & dirty

                  Yes, it shows a jam upon POWER UP.. that's what's frustrating us. I'm sorry, but I don't know what "Set MF for print log" means...

                      pull out the feed unit-to inspect interior

                      forget about the log for now--

                              We've pulled out and inspected every sensor we can find; nothing is restricted. I just looked through the parts guide and many of the sensors are the same, so I'm just going to order like 3 of each and give it a shot...
