the fuser can only be replaced as a single unit and is very expensive. It can last anywhere from 100K to 800K depending on your volume and what stock you run through the device.
Official Statement from Canon is 300000, but in fact, i have seen a lot of them turning belly up between 100000 to 200000. So beware, if you are not an official Canon Dealer with the possibility to get a guarantee reward from them.

You can try repairing it. But, belts are not always the issue when this unit has problems. Not worth it. Plus you don't know what those Chinese people are selling. Those belt are generic.
I know this is an old thread but has anyone tried to replace just the upper & lower sleeves "successfully" on these series ?
I have seen some Chinese companies selling just the film sleeves for about 80 USD / piece. Very tempting...
u need to remember this> it's the inside deterioration coating of metal roller that bunches /rips up top sleeve from un-coated thermostat face that causes belt to tear/
also u have gear issues>sensor issues from heat>to inspect/change>pressure adjustment
lost time & performance =lost money
