    color mis - registration

    I had a call on a iRC3220 with horizontal mis-registration. It was a 3 mm displacement.
It was a DC-CON corrupt data. After clearing it - registration comes ok.
Before clearing I made sure there was NO mechanical issue. (removed the cleaning assy, checked the inner rollers of the belt unit)

Two days after my visit customer calls again with the same issue. I told him how to Clear the DC-CON, which he did but to NO result.
I also told him the "door open + dc clear + door closed" procedure. Still the same.
How come ? First time DC-CON Clear works and second time doesn't ?

Since that guy is 5 hours drive away, I would like to have everything with me when I get there.

    Any ideas ?

did U or customer put back the P PRINT settings in the 3220 ??

horizontal /Paper Feed direction -------(sub scanning)

did u inspect the gears or replace the swing unit
During normal machine usage, it is possible that the 42T gear part number FU3-0546-000 mounted in the
Swing Gear Assembly, part number FG6-9662-000, could become damaged due to high stress in turning the
    Intermediate Transfer Belt.
Swing Gear Assembly will now be called the Swing Plate Unit, part number FM3-3775-000 and only
one 42T gear can be replaced. The other gear is pressed in and cannot be replaced separately. If both gears are damaged a new Swing Plate Unit must be replaced. If only the driving 42T gear is damaged it can alone be replaced.
also check the The white 42T outer gear of the ITB Assembly=FU3-0266-040
