Check your DDR MODULE PCB ASSEMBLY / located on IMAGE PROCESSOR PCB ASSEMBLY

remove and re-seat/ + check connectors

Are both machines showing same symptoms? Brand new macines from their packaging? Try checking all the connectors properly as teckat suggested, probably some connectors have been dislodged due to vibrations during transportation. In worst case scenario you may refer machines back to supplier in order not to void their warranty. But first give it a trial.

                1) Turn off the main power switch of this machine, and then disconnect the cables connected to this machine.
                2) Connect USB connector on the back of this machine to the PC using the USB cable
To download the SYSTEM software, use the steps given for the BOOT software.

                in SST

                select "iR1022" in "Model List".
Double-click the "System" folder in "Model List" to check the system software version.
Select "USB" in "Interface", and then click the "START button

Now Turn on the power switch of the host machine.

Press the following keys on the control panel to enter the service mode.
Additional Functions Key > 2 Key > 8 Key > Additional Functions Key
-Using the plus (+) or minus (-) key, select "#DOWNLOAD".
-Press the OK key on the control panel to place the host machine in the downloading wait mode ("#DOWNLOAD CONNECTED" is displayed).
-Press the OK button on the SST screen displayed on the display of the PC.
When connection is complete,Click the OK button.
                Click "BootROM Download"

                  Re: Canon ir1018 weired Problem!

What about your energy source? For two machines to behave in exactly same manner upon powering up could mean there is a common factor or denominator at play. Probably, apart from the BOOTING PROCESS, the warmup process is incomplete due to some AC mains power hiccup. TRY, checking your ac mains power output voltage if its to the required standard , remember also to check the available output current at the outlet, since correct output voltage does not necessarily mean it is delivering the correct current. OR Try to power the machines with the power cables plugged DIRECTLY into the WALL SOCKET, rather than using an EXTENSION cable.

                  Good luck.

check all connectors on Image Processor PCB.

New = means a machine has NEVER been installed before

basis of repair= fix it or lose it , I guess -
