    [Error Code] 542-8005 Finisher S1

    Have a code 542-8005 on the S1 finisher on a iR3245...

Only thing i could find was older posts on the 540-8005. I have No fuses blown and of course i have all the manuals but nothing for the Finisher S1 pretty much the same as the iR4570 S1. I got it working but i had to remove the shutter that moves up and down just above the exit rollers??????

If this applies> check if the optional tray is installed correctly.-- Tray must be level
Removed and re-install if off level

Check the wiring harness (from the finisher controller to the additional tray) if applies -
-make sure to leave enough slack in the harness to clear the rear left corner of the finisher frame. If you do not the wiring harness will break as the tray moves up and down.

do u hear noise in Finisher

    harness shown
in the below figure does not have enough slack and would prevent the tray from driving to the down position.

Give that a try and let you know what i come up with.
and yes something must be binding, i don't hear any weird noises either.
