[Error Code] IRC3170 Code E000070-0001 Please Help!

After dis-assembly and cleaning the copier threw out a code in the first 2 minutes of warm up. E000070-0001. The code deals with fuser. It does not reach correct operating temperature. Please correct me if I am wrong. The fuser was replaced less than 150 copies ago. The whole copier has lass than 20K copies. Could it be a power issue? One of the connectors got loose? I just can not imagine it would be a brand new fuser. Is there a connection inside the fuser that might have gotten loose?

Please do not bash this copier. Everyone knows it is a piece of s**t, so there is no reason to repeat it in every post.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

E0070 is a transfer belt issue. And sorry but I havent bashed that machine in a while. The best thing that could happen is someone steals it for what its worth in scrap.

Yeah, just figured out the code. I was not looking at the right place in my service manual.

What does this code refer to in itb assembly?

I know people would not resist commenting on the machine! lol

I would start with the sensor but I think your drum could cause this too.

Really? How can I "test" the drum for failure? Also, should the belt be a bit loose on the assembly of be tight? should you be able to move it by hand?

Maybe you should start by retracing your steps when you disassembled it and make sure everything is put back right, all sensors cleaned and everything connected.

I had such a difficult time taking it out. Is it supposed to come out from the top or bottom? There is practically no room to wiggle it out of the bottom. Every time I do it, I'm afraid to brake it.

You should be able to turn it by hand.

Check the white bushings on the primary transfer roller. If you have removed the two M4 screws these have a habbit of popping out of the recess in the transfer belt frame causing a slack belt.
