Canon irc 5800 image has dirts as though toner being scattering over the page

    Hi Everyone,
I have a Canon IRC 5800 and the machine prints out with "dirt" over the page as though toner being scattering over it during the printing process from development to fixing. I can not figure it out where the toner was leaked out onto the page but I notice that the toner was spilled over the page while the page is moving as the dots on the page print out look like shooting stars. The toner does not seem to be black even though the print is in black and white mode. Print in colour mode produces the same colour of the spill. I have replaced the ITB, its scrape, and blade cleaning the ITB unit including its toner waste crew. I also have replaced the drum blade. However, the problem persists. Please help. May thanks in advance

Try to clean Primary corona with alcohol (open and clean all side inside and wires also). Clean also and secondary transfer.

Thank you for your instruction. However, I must say I don't know the location of the "primary corona". I look at the service book and nothing is referred to as " primary corona". Does it have another name ? Thanks

Do people not re-wire these these days? I know i do!

Took me a damn long time to learn how, especially with cuts on my thumbs from dry skin! But sorts out so many problems!
Have you tried turning it off and on? No...Oh, it works now!

The primary corona unit is that black unit above the drum, which you would have removed to get to a screw holding the process unit in (that is if the last guy put that screw back)
It is held in by a sliding plastic piece, which moves back when it's screw is loosened.

If you are getting black dots like pepper tracks, you need to replace the inside wire.
The readily visible 20 or so, wires are grid wires, (clean only)

if you are getting splotches, they are most likely coming from the drum scoop up sheet. FL2-0422
Not many people know where that is, and I doubt you will find it, if you don't know where the primary corona is.
It is accessible only by removing a tiny screw, through a small hole about 5 o'clock (drum).
Replacing it is not fun either.
          Good luck
