    Canon IR5065 false jam

Need some help please. Have a Canon IR5065. Shows power on jam at ps28(laser write sensor).
Cannot get it to clear. Replaced sensor and dc controller. Flag looks fine. Inspected wires and they look ok.
Will not change state in I/O.
Has anyone ran into this problem? If so your help is appreciated.
    Thanks

    Is the flag spring loaded?

Less than a month ago i got called out to a false jam on a 5000 series and the spring that flips the sensor flag back had become slack, as soon as that was replaced the machine worked like a charm yet again!
Have you tried turning it off and on? No...Oh, it works now!

you need to get the meter out pal.
i would double check to make sure the connector is attached to the sensor, there is not much slack on that cable, and it has been known to get slightly disconnected when replacing thepre-reg plate.
That cable runs to another connector in the front to the right of deck 1.
If that is not disconnected, then check continuity between there and the controller.

remove tie wraps from the wire

If the Vertical Path Guide is not properly seated, the actuator for PS28 may be pushed down when the side door is closed.

FYI. Turns out there were 3 broken yellow wires in the harness that runs along the bottom right side of the machine under the bottom paper feed unit. How or why they were broken is a mystery.

You can check the sensor state on I/O mode with doors open.
