I have got an intermittent problem with an A1 finisher on an iradv c7055. On a run of A3's if the output is set to tray b, as the copies come out the tray drops slightly and then moves back up (which is normal), but then sometimes the tray will drop an inch and not move back up or will drop 4 inches and stay there, then suddenly after 60 copies will raise up above the outlet and tray c will rise up to continue taking the copies for about 15 sheets. The machine will then ask that the paper is removed from tray c, do an autograd and then printout 1 sheet before dropping tray c to the bottom. The copies then continue falling from the outlet onto the tray c until tray c is lifted by hand.
I have tried bypassing tray b and defaulting everything to tray c. however tray c does not always lift from home position to the correct position! and may stop 6 inches below the outlet.
I have updated the software on the machine and the finisher and also dumped the finisher controller. the sensor arms do not seem to be broken. Has anyone had anything similar?
