When the transfer belt slipps the image will be 3d. This usually happens to me when I put a new belt cleaning blade on a very old transfer belt. The drive roller inside the belt assy can become soiled or dry and slip. Sometimes the roller can be cleaned with wd40.

Teckat - although you're clearly the smartest person here, i also use WD40 to clean rubber rollers and it sorts the problem 99% of the time. I use it on the roller inside the ITB Assy and also on rollers around the machine, it helps clean the fine dust off things and make the rollers "sticky" again...

Only time when it doesn't work is when the pick-up rollers need changing as they've worn down!

What would you suggest using teckat?

Also to the OP, if cleaning the ITB Assy inside and it still doesn't work, i'd try changing the whole assy if you've got one spare.

I've had it where it has just been one colour out - i.e. yellow. This is extremes and has happened twice - but i've had to change the yellow laser unit!
Have you tried turning it off and on? No...Oh, it works now!

Which i stupidly found out the hard way!!!!

            not the smartest in here>

I used it in the past/years ago----

reason I don't recommend techs carry WD40 to clean rollers/ is because they will use it on anything that moves> result is another fine unnecessary mess created ( used in fuser unit>finisher>on bushings>bearings> )

i create water mix>with a small amount of Windex in plastic bottle/ works great on green pad to clean-

some techs are using Cleaner, Rubber Rejuvenator by Techspray

I use it on bearings and stuff, but i let it dribble out, i dont let it spray and get overspray everywhere - i find if you're careful then it works quite well... Dont put too much on rollers otherwise it gets on the paper when it passes them, then messes up toner when it gets to that stage.

I'll have a look at that cleaner you're on about! See if i can get my boss to try it!
