Canon iR C3220 jam while doing duplex

Hi all,

at first, i think of the jam caused by the fuser unit because it always jam at this area so i decide to cannibalize from office unit for customer to reduce the downtime.

after changing the whole unit it is ok but the second days it have intermittent jam at fuser area when doing duplex only.

at first I thought it caused by the Craws at fuser, i tried remove the middle 2 units ; check the solenoid at fuser but it remain the same jam after second sided printed and moving out from fuser unit.

here i attach the jam history for reference. Can anyone advise what to do if base on the jam history?

hey try to cross check DC controller of that machine in to another one

I am aware i'm young but i highly doubt that the DC controller is the cause of a paper jam...

The unit that the fuser pulls out with, on the door is the white flappy part broke at either end?

The deflector - Part number: FB6-3703-000 as i've had this break and cause jams.

When doing duplex the paper reverses and goes underneath the fuser, so i'd be cleaning those rollers and checking for any broken parts.

Replace the Duplex Driver and the FUSE PCB at the same time/
also check/replace the black plastic Duplex tray> they become warped
shown in green area below

Hi everyone,

after trying all the advises from you all, i found that the main caused is because of the broken parts like flappy part at end, shaft holder and also this black plastic duplex tray.

duplex jam has solve after replace those parts.

does the craws at fuser unit neccesary? because my user has pull out all the craws while clearing paper jam..

Also, i find it difficult to insert back all the craws, even i successfully insert but it seem loose.

can anyone advise the proper way to replace craws if this is neccessary?

Are you talking about the claws that are close to the actual fuser rollers?

u need these in to prevent paper wrap over roller & proper delivery of paper/ there are six of them---------------------------------

Yep.

Also, very big coinsidence - i was called to a 3200 earleir jamming on duplex, the plate below the fuser is split!
