    C7000vp Help E20-0385/0381/0386

    My last ditch effort before we replace the DC-Con. The original problem started with the 0385 code popping. I cleaned the patch sensor as stated. Fired the machine back up and started with some PG10 to get the machine rolling. After the specified 25 sheets ran it pulled the 0381 code. I replaced the sensor and tried again, same code. Changed developer housings to see if a wire harness went bad, same code. Changed drums, same code. Changed wire passthru plug where the dev housing plugs to, same code. DENS readings in level 1 show normal, print PG10's are nice and solid but the the value for the P-B-P-C referenced for the code is the same 72 versus the others that are within spec. The weird part is with all the changing it remains 72. I then ran a D-CON reset following a old post rom Teckat. After a pain in the a** time with a senior color tech re-entering the values and verifying we now get the 0386 code as well as ALL color values being WAAAAAY off. The windows values in service 1 show teen numbers, and all the P-B-P values for all four colors are showing the same negative number (at least it is consistent right). But the PG10 pages run nice and solid like the sets before, no change. Canon phone support says replace controller. Before we do that I thought I should get everyone thoughts. Anything at this point would be great. Machine is still a baby, installed in 07and has only 2.75 mil on counters. All PM's and upgrades have been kept up on and done. Running version 87 firmware. Thanks

      The VFF values are a little high but are within spec.

      I haven't seen that tech pub, I will take a look at it. Sounds promising! Thanks.

        Teckat- I looked over the pub. The only thing wrong with that is the copy quality isn't being effected. What we can print before the codes looks great. It is really a case of the machine seeing a problem that is not really there, in a matter of speaking.

          check the spring loaded white lift cams --front & rear side to see if they have flat spots//under Process unit

                Teckat- I am happy to say this issue looks resolved. After inspecting the lift cams as suggested and finding all to be well. The senior guy that was working with me suggested updating the firmware to the newest (we held off due to issues previously with 13x19, but was told that had been resolved), running D-CON again, reentering all values as per previous. Didn't work... Then he had me run the sensor adjustment on service 1>function>Misc-P>Page 3 - LP-<something>ADJ (sorry just got home not in front of the machine anymore. Can repost Monday the exact service item). Once complete everything was spot on, for now. Will keep posted but thanks for all the help Teckat!

                    What if the values are beyond the typical, how are we going to resolve this issue?

                    It's okay in the end, If It's not okay, then it's not the end.

                      you start looking into the effected color or colors-

                          Yes Sir it seems that this old problem got me hit.
                          and yes it is C7000VP MACHINE

                          my current readings are as follows:
                          VFF - Y = 377 v
                          M = 398 v
                          C = 437 v
                          K = 410 v

                          Thank you sir for the tip, are these reading indicates that this machine will soon be dead?
                          It's okay in the end, If It's not okay, then it's not the end.

                              This Error occurs frequently after printing 15-16 sheets or after adjusting the fixing unit, as I observed ... I just don't know what to do. thank you.
                              It's okay in the end, If It's not okay, then it's not the end.
