    DAG COPIERS & COMPUTERS
My reason was the distance, and I also have another Wide format copier (OCE 9400II old machine: Use paralle port) the two printers are far from the computer about 8M so I first thought in that way.
You know I printed about 2 months throught 18m connected together (10m USB + 8m paralle cable) and it printed (OCE9400II) in summer but in winter it stopped to print so I got the 10m paralle and use it for the IR5000 & OCE 9400II.
Now I think I will use the RJ45 network cross cable for the IR5000 (as adviced) and keep with the 10m paralle cable for OCE 9400II.

    Thanks for all.

Your point understood. Try the RJ45 Ethernet cable as suggested.
      Thanks and GOOD LUCK.
