canon IR 5570 tray 2 "add paper message"

Hi everyone, Im not to keen on this model. The tray has an add paer message when full ,half full, or empty. when the drawer is closed the motor does not engage. If i manually move the feed assembly or actuators the motor engages. i brushed out the two sensors in back tried to see if any actuators are broke. cables are good, it manually (by hand)raises up and lowers ... im at a temporary loss. im sure i can spend another 2 hours on it and find it. I would rather have some hints or direction on what it may be. thanx arnie

Can you hear the lifter motor turning? if not the lifter motor may have blown, quite common on that range, but change the motor driver pcb as well as sometimes one can take out the other at the same time.

Tray tray handle hits 2 small white levers. If they are broken or miss aligned the assembly will not actuate.

Ill check the sensors out. the two white actuators are there. maybe bad sensor /sensors
