Can anyone give me suggestions on this code? I'm at the machine and have checked connectors on the main board, DC controller board and one out the back of the ADF. It resets, and comes back immediately. Help?

Re: CANON IR5065 e000732-0001
It's a communication error between the reader and the main controller.

Re: CANON IR5065 e000732-0001
Be careful not to over look the simple solutions, there is a cable from the rear of the machine the connects the reader to the main body of the machine. Make sure it's there and not damaged first.
I spend an embarrassing amount time chasing this code only to find the cable was missing completely. This is why I now keep a flask of Maker's Mark in my tool box...
If this isn't the problem reply back, there are Canon TSBs available on this codeComment

Re: CANON IR5065 e000732-0001
Thanks so much for the responses. CaptnRed the cable is there, and looks good...no damage. And yes I'd like to see the TSBs on this. Spectraindo I know cable 1 is there, but can't recall now about cable 2. The machine was working, so I'm going to assume for now it's there. I'll double check next trip.
But I came across this on the web...looks like a good hit! What do you think? http://193.42.253.81/ukweb/Service/h...8?OpenDocumentComment

For some reason part of the URL was deleted. I'm trying again...

Did it again! I'll try it in segments. Hope this works.

Re: CANON IR5065 e000732-0001
In troubleshooting this E732-0001 error code,
the first check is to verify the presence of 24v & 13v at J301 of the Interface PCB.
These voltages are generated from the Converter PCB, the general circuit diagram describes this pcb as a DC-DC PCB. Check to see if J6 is outputting the 24v & 13v, if no voltage is measured, check for 24v at J5. The 24v is an input to J5 from the Accessory Power Supply. To generate DC voltage out from the Accessory Power Supply, AC voltage and a Remote voltage must be present-

Re: CANON IR5065 e000732-0001
Thanks for the info Teckat. I'm having some confusion about the Reader Controller PCB. My 5000/6000 manual says it's at the rear of the reader unit, but a board repair place says it's under the glass by the CCD. Maybe it would help if I had the actual 5065 manual. They also said they'd put their money on the reader controller.Comment

Re: CANON IR5065 e000732-0001
Did you figure this out?
I was very recently in a scenerio where this error appeared because there was a problem with the power source.
Is this on a dedicated power source?Comment

Re: CANON IR5065 e000732-0001
I'm glad you posted. I have another machine I'm going to today. It's a different model but same code. To answer your question, no, I haven't resolved it yet. We found out the code came up right after a power outage. The customer is deciding what to do. I'll definitely check the power circuit on the one today. there's a good chance it's not dedicated. Thanks much.Comment

Re: CANON IR5065 e000732-0001
I was writing my ticket when the window unit switched off. And immediately I heard 5 beeps. And yes, it came from the copier instead of the other equipment. E732! I guess the A/C dumped a spike onto the line. I monitored the voltage and it dropped only 1 volt when the A/C was blowing, then returned when it quit. This was on a iR3025 by the way. Hope this helps.Comment
