iR2020 jcode 0124

Hey folks,


Having a weird issue on a iR2020. Simplex works great but double sided actually rolls the paper past the 2nd delivery exit rollers at the inner top of the machine and gives me an jcode of 0124 (Delay jam at duplex paper sensor 2, sr1003) Sensor checks out, replaced the complete door assembly from a known working machine to no adue.

0124 Jam can occur if the Fixing Cover is not seated correctly. If the 0124 Jam occurs, remove and reseat the Fixing Cover.


Use Special Mode O to prevent DUPLEX print paper jams.

Note: The deafult settings is 'Off' for both Stack Bypass and Drawer.

1) Press [Additional Function].

2) Press [Adjustment/Cleaning].

3) Press the up and down arrow key unti you see [Special Mode O].

4) Press [Special Mode O].

5) Select [Medium], [High], or [Off] for the desired paper source.

6) Press [OK].

Detail of each item are shown below:
[Medium]: Paper separates easily from the drum, preventing paper jams.
[High]: Prevents paper jams more effectively than when Medium is selected.
[Off]: Disable Special Mode O.

Note: When you select [Medium] or [High], the image may become faint.

7) Press [Done] repeatedly until you see the Basic Feature screen.

Thanks Teck. I checked the fuser cover as per the NAVI tip but didn't know about the Special Modes. They never really talk about them ever in training. Cheers. Will close this thread when I head back to customers later this week.
