ImagePass C2 - No Printer Communication

We have a Ir3220 with a Fiery C2 on it.
On day 1 we were able to ping the c2 with no issue. we were also able to log into the remote UI and when we chose, on the main screen, the printers tab, we were able to get to the subsequent screens.

It never gets past that point. Of course we cannot access the remote UI either.

All the cables seem to be correct, including the crossover cable. The led display on the c2 goes thru a cycle on startup and ends up at 00.
When I ping the C2, I can see the link light on the c2 flash, but get no response from it. Initially it was setup with a static IP, but even hooked up to a DHCP device does no good..

we took the c2 apart, checked the power supply with a PC power checker. It is good.
reseated the ram and did not notice anything else that looked incorrect. The HD is readable from an external USB device, so I think it is good.

Any suggestions on how to approach this?
It seems to me, and I am not very knowledgeable, that the Fiery must be the issue but am not sure where to go.
If the system needs to be reloaded, would anyone have the necessary software to do this as well as some instructions on how?

again, any insights or ideas greatly appreciated!!!

      Hi - thinkink01 under a different name.....

That is part of the problem. Cannot get to the section to print connfiguration page as when we hit printer, we get a message to check the controller power and never get any further..
It seems that the c1 v2 is not booting up and we wonder what we can do ?

If we need to reload the C1 software, can anyone tell us how we can go about getting it?

        Power Cycle off the imageRUNNER.
        3-Before Making any Connections /
4-Now Power Cycle on the imageRUNNER.
        5-Re-Enter Service mode (Additional Functions > 2 & 8 > Additional Functions).
        Select Copier > Option > INT-FACE > IMG-CONT.
Change back this setting from "0" to "3" and press OK./now exit from the Service Mode
6-Now> Turn off the control panel power switch./then Turn off the main power switch.

7-Disconnect the Printer power cable (from the wall/floor outlet).
8-Next> connect the I/F cable from Fiery to Printer side-
9-Connect the Cross-Over cable from Fiery to Printer
10-Connect Network cable from Fiery to wall Network connection
11-Connect the Fiery Power Cable to wall outlet-
12-Plug in 3220 Printer power cable to wall outlet
        13-Now Power up 3200 Printer

Thank you for this very good response. We will try it this morning and keep you posted on the results.
BTW, the previous thread on the C1 was not one of ours. But its almost comforting to see we are not the only ones with this problem.

              Thanks and good Luck !!!!!!!!!!
that procedure I posted will address 95% of these weird> check power>check connection>wait messages- on 3200/3220/2620 Printers that use a Fiery-

Learned the hard way> u need to follow Fiery install directions exactly as written - I just tweaked them a bit for techs who face a refurbish printer install with this Fiery box attached-

              U need to treat the imagePassC1 & C2 like a baby

Note: always use the shutdown procedure for Printer on Control panel> follow the prompts>
never just reach over and flip off the Main Printer switch
