    IR2525 and SSL or TLS

    Dear all,

We've an IR2525 machine on which we will install a color send kit-Y1.

How can i know if this model (IR25xx) supports SSL or TLS ?

In general, where can i find this information for the other machine models?

How can i know if an email provider uses ssL or not?

    Thanks for any help.

    Rachid.

Re: IR2525 and SSL or TLS

Can look Under Additional Functions, System Settings, Network Settings, Email/iFax,>
Look for Allow SSL for Sending and Receiving

Some of the newer Canon devices now support SSL connections for the following functions: - Remote User Interface (RUI) and MEAP Web Interfaces
    - E-mail and I-Faxes (SMTP and POP)
    - Internet Printing Protocol (IPP)
    - Device Information Delivery

Some Canon devices do support TLS Encryption Protocol.

The following Canon devices support TLS encryption Protocol:
    -ALL imageRUNNER ADVANCE Series
    -imageRUNNER 2535 / 2545 / 3225 / 3230 / 3235 / 3245
    -imageRUNNER C1030 / C1030i

    imageRUNNER ADVANCE C5051 / C5045 / C5035 / C5030 / C9075 PRO / C9065 PRO / C7065 / C7055
SSL can be enabled by going to Settings/Registration : Management Settings : License/Others > Remote UI Settings

Firstly, the iR25xx series does NOT support SSL/TLS.
Secondly, you can check your server settings in you mail program to see if SSL is used, or contact your email provider/administrator for info.
