    IRC3200 language problem

Hello, my machine is IRC3200 with C1 v2 and only connected to 1 computer Windows XP with SST installed. The language of the machine is de... i think its denmark? or german and i want to change it to english. How do i set it up? Do i still need a firmware language for the machine or whatever? Please advice. Thank you.

if u don't see English / u need to use the SST & check Firmware ver of 3200 to see if English is loaded/registered in there./ if so use assist mode to register it/ see pic below

    try this first

    Press: * Additional Function key
    Press: Common Settings
Press: The up/down arrows until (Language Switch) appears.
    Press: Language Switch
    Press: On
Press: Arrow keys up/down to display desired Language
    Press: Done

Note: If the improper Language still comes up turn the machine off and back on.

      Re: IRC3200 language problem

      Thank you for your reply.
I check the Language on the Common Settings and only German is there.
I'm trying to connect the computer (SST) to the machine but i think there is something wrong with my connection.
My computer IP is 172.16.1.10 and the machine IP is 172.16.1.100 (based on the manual CANON iR C3200 series REV.0 JAN.2003).

      scan.jpg
      I did hold the 1 & 7 FIXIP appears. i go to COPIER>Functions>SYSTEM>DOWNLOAD>OK
      Nothing happens????
I also try connecting it with the Feiry, still the same.

the one in the yellow box does not appear on my computer. There is a reply when i ping the 172.16.1.100.

        Re: IRC3200 language problem

u can not use the Fiery to connect to Laptop and load SST Firmware into 3200

Make sure SST is not running !!!!
        are u using a Cross-Over cable between printer & Laptop ??

        1-power off printer
2-hold down 2&8/while holding keys>power up printer>u will see download screen
3-now start up SST/set up IP connection
        4-In SST>SELECT CONNECT
5-LOOK FOR 3200 Firmware on right side
if not there u need to register a version of it in SST
6-use the assist mode prompts to install/update firmware

          Re: IRC3200 language problem

Yes sir, i'm using cross cable and a laptop windows XP. I have some question for you because it still cannot detect the machine although there's a reply when i ping it (172.16.1.100). Here are the procedures that you give to me:

          1-power off printer
2-hold down 2&8/while holding keys>power up printer>u will see download screen
3-now start up SST/set up IP connection
          4-In SST>SELECT CONNECT
5-LOOK FOR 3200 Firmware on right side
if not there u need to register a version of it in SST
6-use the assist mode prompts to install/update firmware

On no.3, i did start the SST. What do you mean set up the IP connection? When i start it up, it seems nothing happens. My PC's IP is set to 172.16.1.10.
On no.5, i did look for the 3200 Firmware on the right side but nothing is there. Also what do you mean to register a version of it in SST?

By the way sir, can I copy the firmware from a good machine to another machine? Thank you again.

Note: Do not designate the following IP address on the PC/Laptop:
            - 172.16.1.0
            - 172.16.1.100
            - 172.16.1.255

            USE this on your Laptop
            IP address: 172.16.1.160

In Additional Functions > System Settings > Network Settings > Ethernet Driver Settings.

***For the purpose of flashing the copier, confirm that the 'Auto Detect' is set to ON.

You need a machines MODEL OR SERIES FIRMWARE Registered it the SST to use it

            U ask a question
Also what do you mean to register a version of it in SST?

to me > that means u never used SST before to register a Canon printers Firmware
