Canon GP225

We have this old copier at a customers which is constantly saying load paper in tray one.

I've looked at the machine and can't see anything faulty apart from the tray lift is not activating.
Motor doesn't make any noise at all. Tray two works fine so I have told the customer to use this one for now.

Is there a reset in case it's corrupted?

Help will be grateful.

Check paper sensor and tray sensor(inside the body i think,maybe in front i dont't remember exactly).If this sensor is working and the paper is inside,the tray lift is activated.There is nothing to reset,is an electrical problem if the lift motor is not working.
