white lines on ImageRUNNER ADV C5030i

I have a problem with sharp white bands in yellow (in feed direction) on a C5030i and it appears to be caused by dirt/contamination in the laser path. C/M and K are also showing bands (seen on on PG5 test page) I have tried cleaning the dust blocking glass (using the tool) with no success. looking further when removing the process carriage and ITB unit there is a lot of dust/toner an top of the laser units.

Apart from the dust blocking glass cleaning tool is there another way (hopefully easy) of cleaning out the laser path/laser.

Pull the draw out and lift up the shutters by hand and clean them with a cloth Takes 2 minutes .
