Canon IR 7105 Scanner

Hello,

I just got a Used Canon IR 7105 with scanner. I have not been able to get my computer to recognize the scanner with the Color Network ScangearTool V 2.71 it is printing and everything. The copier is connected to a wireless router. am I missing something? I already tried putting the Scanner Online in the copier and trying to detect it and also inputting the IP address manually

It's a black and white scanner. Use the canon network scangear tool not the canon color network scangear.

You were right. Now it detects the Scanner but the Scangear Tool doesn't install the Scanner Driver. I am still not able to scan documents.
This is what I did. I downloaded the Canon Network Scangrear Tool and discovered the IR 7105 and then I click "select" and then nothing happens. There is a message that says "Department ID Settings: Disabled" could that be the problem?

Hello,

It's good that you could detect and select the scanner. I'm not sur i understood your question. But i would say that you can not use scangear (alone) to scan. It's just an interface. So, you've to use another tool for scannig (Adobe acrobat, word, ... or any other special program).

I know that... I tried to scan through "microsoft office picture manager" but it said that the Scangear had not installed the driver for the scanner.

When you scan from iR7105, the machine must be set ONLINE, otherwise the computer program cannot scan.
