Did you try to replace pressure roller and bushings, too.
Couple times we changed everything but it didn't work. I suppose something is wrong with frame assy.
Only options was to change complete fixing assy.

Could be the film (not all compatis are - we use Katun) or

Did you do the nip adjustment? If not, I suspect the film just keeps walking to the end and ... In my limited experience rebuilding these units, the nip check is critical (and can needs to be done on the target machine).

yup, I also replaced pressure roller and bushing, but the life time was still short, though I used fixing unit (not individual part/compatible), maybe costd is right, we should ceck nip check..., when there is unbalance pressure between front and rear, fixing film will then shift to the lower pressure leading to torn fixing film..

Lubricate the heater element with silicon oil and thermal grease mixture, it will last 50k.

            Dear Sir!
I think you have to check the film quality first, lower roller and gear can or can not rotation.
Put grease on the heater surface.
            Good luck.

I am convinced by your suggestions. As well, for machines which use fixing films, if there is a slight tilt between the front and rear of the copier, it may lead to same effect of the film shifting to the lower side of it. That is, they must be set up on absolutely level surfaces (floors / tabletops). So please check to make sure this is observed.

how to perform fuser nip check on 2270/2870?? when i select [ok] on fuser nip, it doesn't happen anything. comparing to iR4570, i could hear roller or sound from machine, something is running there but not for 2270/2870.

                anyone know why?

hi....first you should check the frames on the both ends of the fixing assembly to ensure it is not bent...if it is so it will cause uneven pressure and film tears...i hope it is help
