    remielee,

This happen to me once, where tray one the right hand deck would not lift.
I found that the front cover was miss adjusted and would not allow the
tray to be pushed in all the way, and it was only miss adjusted by .25 inches.

Try this, take the front cover off the tray and push it in. With all you've done
I can not imagine there could be anything else wrong, plus it is a low meter count.

You should have a book for this model. The feed heads for tray 3 and 4 are the
same and can be switched. The feed head for tray 1 is different and so is the
    feed head for tray 2.

Leave a post on the service manual request page. I am sure you should be able
to get the manuals. They will help a lot.

Did you try what I mentioned in my last post?

You may not have a broken part, it may just need to be adjusted.
That is why I mentioned taking the front cover for tray 1 off.
If it is not put on correctly it can cause this problem.
Try it. It only takes a few minutes.

i know sir that this machine was an old models of digital machine for a canon. i said on my previous post that was slightly new because i base only on its meter count or meter reading, i know that this machine can take more copies and heavy duty machines since of its drum life can take 3 millions because of its silicon drum type, the costumer did not use it for a long time. i was here at ksa they are still using it and some companies here still selling this kind of models it means it was still on the market here i dont know about in other country since it was an old models of canon.

                So remielee,
All I was saying is take the front cover off and push the tray back in and see if it
                lifts the paper.
It sounds like you replaced the whole tray 1 unit?
                Did it fix the problem?
