Hi every one,

An IR2000 having jam issues, the paper doesnt cross the fixing unit,

I'll start by removing the fixing unit I guess,

any one had this same problem before ?

to be honest i dont know how to see the jam code,

and I even made things worst, i dissasembled, and reassembled the fixing unit,

now, it does nothing, it just shows a new error message E000.

i'll redissasemble.

How can we see the jam code for this model?

Jam History
The machine keeps a record of jams that have occurred. You can generate a service report
to check the history or clear the history.

To indicate jam data,
Make the following selections in service mode:
#10 REPORT > 07 JAM/ERR LOG REPORT
To clear the jam history, the NVRAM on the DC controller PCB remembers an error in the fixing assembly even when the power switch is turned off and then on. After turning on the power, be
sure to execute the following in service mode to remove the error information:
#7 PRINTER > #4 PRINTER RESET > YES = (*)

SERVICE MODE
Press the Additional Functions key and the ID (#) key in sequence to bring up
the Service Mode screen.

#2. MENU============not used
#3. NUMERIC Param.=====not used
#4A. SPECIAL=========not used

the error code is gonne, I forgot to screw the resistor of the fixing unit,

the paper now cross the fixing unit, but still jams,

tomorrow "god willing" I'll get back to this machine, and keep you know the news,

Check the exit sensor flag it could be broken.It is a common occurance on this model.

I changed the two fixing roller bushings (I'm not sure about there name),

the 30T gear of the transfer unit was also damaged, I had to replace it as well,

now it prints 60 to 70 pages without jamming,

I think this is a good result for an old machine like this,

don't you ??

it's all about inspection/observation/elimination > keep it simple !!!!!!!!!!!!
