Canon IR2525 can not network scan.

I have a canon ir2525 that was setup to scan to the network. It worked fine for a while and then I came in one morning and it wouldn't work. After sending to the network the job would wait and then eventually an error message would be printed. I do not currently have an error code because someone threw the paper away. We had a technician come out and check it out. All of our settings were correct, the user for the address book had admin rights, correct password, used the actual IP address as the target. He reloaded the firmware on the machine and it still didn't help. Think anyone could give me a hand? Thanks in advance guys

PS. I did a work around for now for it to be sent to and FTP server.

    Hi,

From the iR2525, were you able to "Browse" the network for any PC & properly login? If cant, is the "SMB" of iR2525 set to "OFF"

The IP address of the host computer may have changed. Try using the host name in place of the ip address.

When we browsed the network we were able to log in. SMB is set to on, and we also have LM announce set to ON.

Tried using the host name as well. The IP address is static, if that helps.

Drivers have been downloaded and installed but still no avail. Both are able to ping each other.

Thanks for the documents. The copier is set up correctly. The network administrator, certified tech and myself have already went through these.
The technician was supposed to call back after he found a fix for the problem, but that has been a few weeks ago.

I have seen this before and hopefully this will help. Same thing was working on initial install then stopped working. Solution was to configure the machine via dhcp with a static reservation. Seems as though the static device configuration was not fully registering on the network and was limiting access to some of the servers/pcs on the network.
