[Misc] Varioprint110 courious behaviour regarding custom formats

As Canon now distribute the former OCE Varioprint line, i think, here is the right place to post, if this should be not the case, some admin please move my post to the right direction. We have installed a Variopress110 at customers side and soon ran into problems. If you print "normal formats" like A3 or SRA3 all is fine and working. As soon as you try to work with custom formats, here per example 315x440, things went weird... the pre look screen in the acrobat (acrobat pro 9) window went partially grey, and sure enough, the box prints only a part of the document, even if all settings like document format and media formt are set correctly, in addition you can see, that in the pre print window the mesures of length and heigh are interchanged. I assume a driver issue, Canon PHD is involved. Someone else here, who has run in similar problems and can enlighten me?

    Thanks in advance

Ps.: Manuals4U: YES i am trained and YES, i have a Manual

Re: Varioprint110 courious behaviour regarding custom formats

Just for the records, i found it out by myself:
the driver version 2.2.0.0. is faulty, if you generate custom formats, they will turn 90 degrees. You will need to use the driver version 1.3.0.0. to make things run smooth. To make things worse, it is very difficult to remove the driver, it buries itself very deep into the windows system, you will be in need to edit the registry and edit the printer server format entrys by hand. Took me 2 hours on one client to replace the driver.
So beware, if some of you canon techs get in touch with the new varioprint line.
