Canon IR 3300 creasing the trail edge of 17" paper.

I took the fuser out and noticed that the heat element rocked on the pressure
roller with the top part off. Almost as if the pressure roller had a high spot in
    the middle.
I had just replaced the pressure roller and bushings a couple of months ago. And
this customer does not run that much copy.

Has anyone else seen these machines wrinkle paper at all?

The crease is not in the same spot all the time. It will move up or down on the
page. And the length varies a little also.

I'm hopeful I will not have to replace the whole fuser unit.

    Thanks

      teckat,
Thank you for the rebuild instructions, it is always nice to have a road map and I will
use it. You also mentioned "nip check". Wish I'd of thought of that when I was
out there. But I will get the chance to check that today.
I have an extra fuser frame that only needs the heat element.
What I am looking for is "the" componet that is causing the creases.
Sometimes, I just can't help myself and I have to find "the" part that
      is causing "the" problem.

      Thanks for the reminder

Teckat, your like a walking knowledge base. I still remember from
my Kodak days uneven pressure wrinkles and creases paper.
I am wondering what changed since the last time I changed the
pressure roller. It was not that long ago.
The customer runs 20lb paper, the 17" paper is yellow, but I believe
the machine to be color blind. But I suppose I should take some
standard white 20lb 17" paper just to CMA.

          Keep the knowledge coming
          Thanks

              Hi DR

Are you using genuine toner and genuine parts?

                Yep, all OEM.

I did stop today and found the cleaning roller had wobbled
out both bushings, The roller in the used fuser unit was dirty
but the bushings were in good shape. It didn't help. It will
also crease the last .5" of LTR-R paper.
I did a nip check and it looks ok. Even all across.
I will have a new OEM cleaning roller tomorrow.
I pulled the entrance guide plate out today and it was
and is properly installed. I will have to check that movable
                guide too.

                Thanks for your help

Check fuser cleaning roller. If caked up, replace it. If fuser cleaning roller is ok, try replacing fuser film assembly, because fuser film may not be turning properly.

                  Hope that helps,
                  RV

                    Thanks everyone for your help,
It is not fixed yet but I believe I will fix it today.
Yesterday I replaced the clean roller and made copy.
No good. It still creased the paper. I installed a used
(but still in good shape) lower roller and bushings.
The crease got smaller. Today I will replace
                    the bushings.
Here is what I think happen, the cleaning roller wore out
and put uneven pressure on the lower roller which caused
the bushings to wear unevenly making the pressure between
the heater and pressure roller uneven.
I will find out later today.

Thanks again everyone I will post results

                      Hmmm,
New bushings did not fix it! I want to pick on the paper next.
The only things I have not replaced yet are the film, heater
and lower roller. I'm going for the paper.
