can you post a picture and describe the way the paper goes thru and comes out of the machine?

this 'single side' copy was produced using the right paper deck,so basically the paper goes from the deck then to unit 1 then out to the sorter tray..the paper comes out as how u see in the image above.,

as u can see, the image slants to the left..the edge of the original image forms a slanting line which i pointed by an arrow!!..

i encounter this problem before, you need to check that your scanner lamp assy must in proper mount. There is alan screw to tighten the steel wire that move the scanner lamp assy. If the alan screw loose then scanner lamp will slide when it scanning.

The other posibility is you need to check the SHEET, VERTICAL PATH (FB5 - 2512 - 000) at right door. When the sheet folded it will slant the paper when it hit the folded sheet once it pass through.

Is it doing it just on copying? From the glass, doc feeder, or both?

thanks guys for helping me out..

i already pin-pointed the problem..i never thought that it is the cassette itself that gives me this trouble..as shown in the figure above, the paper in the cassette is not lifted evenly..that causes the bottom side of the paper to be out first and then drag the rest, which causes the paper to slant...

these are all because of the wire that's lifting the paper is worn-out...this wire is located at the back of the cassette(see figure below)

                      fig 2.jpg

sorry for all the trouble..i really appreciate your help..thanks!!

                          Re: ir7200 slant copy

yes!i staple it together with the other samples i have..

thanks guys for helping me out...

i already found the solution..i never thought that it would be a problem with cassette itself, fig 1.jpg
if you can see the paper is not lifted evenly!,the left part is up a bit, that causes the left side to be out first then drag the rest causing the paper to slant..this is because the wire at the back of the cassette(responsible for lifting the rear side of the plate that holds the paper up) is worn-out as shown in the figure below!
                          fig 2.jpg
so what i did is that i replace the wire, and now evrything is back to normal!
thanks for all your help..i really appreciate it!,
                          till next time..
