Check to see if the ADF base frame is broke where the DF hinges attach to it. If the DF is not sitting flat that will cause it. If that's ok then press Add'l functions,2,8,add'l functions, then scroll to "test", press OK,2,1, and wait for ok. Press stop,3 and wait to complete. Then press stop, stop, add'l functions. If the Base is broke you have to replace the adf base frame, new style hinges and frame and white sheet. -

Check the gap on the left side front and rear and see if it's even. You can also push down on the left rear corner of the adf and make a copy thru the adf and see if it's any better. If it's blurry and dark on one side when only using the adf I am 95% sure the frame is broke and if it is, the frame, hinges and white sheet have to be replaced and you have to take the feed assly from the old frame and put it in the new frame. The first time I did it it took almost an hour since I was double checking everything I did.Comment
