Thanks for yoor suggestion. I looked at the cloud, but it seem less convenient because it seems like people have to go though Google docs or Sharepoint. Is Google docs/Sharepoint necessary to use the cloud service?
I think we already have the direct print kit installed. How can I verify that?

You have to have the dorect print kit installed on the mfp first.
You would be better to use the cloud portal it doesn't cost anything.Leave a comment:

Re: Canon iPhone app "Direct Print and Scan Mobile" - configuration of Canon iR-adv 6
I am trying to figure out what needs to be done on the printer to get Canon's new "Direct Print and Scan Mobile" app to work. Particularly, I am stumped by these instructions from Canon:
How do I add a Canon imageRUNNER and/or imageRUNNER ADVANCE MFP to my iPhone and/or iPad?
- From your iPhone or iPad, launch the Canon Direct Print and Scan for Mobile Application
- On the home page, touch Canon Devices
- Touch Add Device
- Barcode scanner will display
- Go to Canon imageRUNNER or imageRUNNER ADVANCE and select the Print & Scan icon on the MFP Main Menu
- QR Code will be displayed
- Hold your Apple iPhone or iPad camera lens over the QR Code on the Canon MFP
- Your iPhone or iPad automatically scans the barcode
- If the scan is successful the Canon MFP is added to the Canon Devices list
Regarding item no. 5, I can't find a menu item or icon for "Print & Scan" and am wondering if anyone knows anything about that feature.
Also, FYI, I can access the 6075 from the web interface and use a direct print feature there (upload a pdf), but I am not sure if that is in any way related.
For background, see Apple link and Canon link
Any pointers or suggestions would be most appreciated.Leave a comment:
