    Canon c5185 - trouble receiving faxes

    Machine can send faxes fine, but on receiving it acts like it is going to connect and receive but finally quits.

    Tech installed new fax board with the same results.

    Any suggestions, Thanks

    Plugged table fax machine into line and it works fine...

      Plug table fax machine and check receiving.If you get negative,call phone line provider.

          Try service mode > Fax > Clear > Ncu clear and All Clear.
          First backup your address book and take a note of the unit name and phone number, because they will disappear.
