[Misc] IR7105 thinks its out of paper

From tray one only, printer will print, pause and flash load paper, then continue, and pause again, over and over.

The entire tray assembly and rollers have been replaced, hard drive cleared, and main board re-initialized.

I (and my tech) are stumped. He's been up here three times, the issue goes away for a few days, then comes back. I did the reinitialization procedures again yesterday and it didn't help. Any ideas?

Check the lifter cables in the deck. If they are not going up square then you will get this issue. Also sometimes the lift motor blows... but then you wouldnt get any lift at all.
Oh...... I can't copy at the moment then ? !!!!!!

check the top of the tray opening for the metal bracket that the white lift actuator(on the tray) hits when the tray is closed this actuates the lift motor, over time they get bent out of position by the customer slamming the tray or just over use. remove the tray from the rails open the front door and grab it with your needle nose and bend in down slightly. also there is another actuator on the right hand vertical door near the hinge side just beyond the plastic paper path at the bottom (just looks like a metal tab hits a white actuator on the pickup unit) it must be perpendicular to the door frame, if they are not operated in unison faulty load paper messages and jams can occur. I have also seen the trays not set in the rails correctly cause this problem.

if this don't fix it check the pins on the connectors for the tray/machine-bent or uneven (have seen where a pin has slid through causing intermittent connection)
