We have a ir4570 in the field that is giving us blurry copies...actually if you run a sky shot it looks grain-y, not solid black, so when you make a copy it looks as if it is blurred. We have replaced almost everything: DC controller, bootrom, laser, drum, transfer roller, developer unit and main motor. Any other ideas??

Re: ir4570 blurry copies
grainy for Glass & Network outputs/ could be a Bias/Grounding issue--
did u check for this ?/ did u check your Netural to Ground reading at outlet> 0v/0.5v MAX
did u check Laser glass ?>(Dust-blocking glass)/
condensation on the dust-proof glass ???
is this for Glass only copies-

Re: ir4570 blurry copies
If P-PRINT from the machine is fine with solid black, try to change the scanner unit because the fibre array on the scanner could be dirty or partially blocked.A grayin copy could also be caused by poor lumination of the lamps on the scanner.Comment

Re: ir4570 blurry copies
I have had issues with these for image problems and it was a couple of things : 1 - replace the whole unit that the transfer roller sits in . This has been modified and you will get a slight fusing issue on solids or in the corners. 2 - Make sure that your vertical path and pre-reg sensor arms are the new ones (metal shields on the ends) 3- Check that your metal reg roller hasnt got too much side to side play. The side door gets caught on the arms that hold the bushes in and bowes them outwardOh...... I can't copy at the moment then ? !!!!!!Comment
