Hello! I am having this problem with my canon ir2016 copier. it's given this message "change paper drawer 1" after every copy but you must off it first and put it on again before the next copy with the same message. Please can someone help me fine a solution to the problem? Yours regard, Thanks

Which format of paper drawer are you using,is it A4,A4R,LTR etc -

Check what paper stock is programmed for that cassette. Heavy , plain ,recycled. Or if your sending a job check the paper size being sent.Oh...... I can't copy at the moment then ? !!!!!!Comment

"change paper drawer 1" ?, Is that EXACTLY what it says ? The paper present cassette sensor flags on those are very prone to being pushed out of position or broken off by customers. It might be worth checking to see if a black triangular piece of plastic about 4cm long is on the floor behind the machine. It should be hanging down above where the cassette goes.Comment
