Standard : 512 MB RAM, Maximum 512 MB RAM

Even if the RAM were to go bad, you couldn't use laptop RAM, at least in all probability.

It's different, and not by accident.

I can use laptop RAM for canon iR 2545.
and in asia market, canon iR standard include only 256Mb RAM not 512.

It is work perfectly, and which kind off ram did you try. there is alot kind off RAM laptop, and i use success once.
