5180 ITB lift Arms Breaking! How common is this ?

I have a machine with a history of snapping off The springs on the lift arms for the ITB unit. I think its vandalism. I never used to to see this problem working on alot of these since launch.

Might be a heavy-handed user operating that lever a bit rough...
