    [Error Code] IR 2025 Department ID and Password forgot

    Hi

    I was trying to configure scan function and there was few ID and password and randomly i turned on system ID and department ID and restarted the Machine. After that i tried few ID and password none of them worked. Please help me how to reset it. i have also tried 7654321 as id and password. i also tried pressing
    * 2 and 8 at same time nothing happened.

    Please help me know as i am not able to use machine at all.

      Refer to pages 5&6 on this forum.There are threads posted by Pintechki on page 5 and subsquent replies about image runner 2525 password.On page 6 there is a reply posted by Teckat with good explanation about your problem,previously posted by Montana.Good luck.

          Default System ID and password
          The System Manager ID and System Password are both set to ‘7654321’ at purchase.

          To specify the System Manager ID and System Password in the RUI:
          Click [Register ID and Password] on the Edit System Settings page.
          The Register ID and Password page is displayed. Specify the necessary settings .
          Click [OK].


          System Manager ID: Enter the System Manager ID (seven digits maximum).
          Set/Change Password: Select this check box to set or change the System Password.
          System Manager Password: Enter the System Password (seven digits maximum).
          Confirm: Enter again the password to confirm it.
          <Permit End-User’s Job Operation> can be specified only on the Remote UI.
          Set ID and Password: Select this check box to set the System Manager ID and System Password.


          **Knowledge is time consuming, exhausting and costly for a trained Tech.**

              Service Mode
              Press the Additional Functions key, 2 key, then 8 key, Additional functions key sequentially.

              that means one key at a time-------------------on this model

              in service mode go to>>>>>>>>>>>>>
              #CLEAR
              PWD =====Use it to clear the system administrator's password.

              make sure u highlight PWD only to clear


              To set up a new System Manager ID and password:

              1. Press Additional Functions------->System Settings------->System Manager Settings.
              2. Press 'System Manager' and enter the name of the person who is to be the System Manager.
              3. Press 'System Manager ID' and enter the numeric ID of the System Manager. Up to seven digits can be used.
              4. Press 'System Password' and use the numeric keys to enter the password. Up to seven digits can be used.
              5. Press 'Next'.
              6. Press the 'E-Mail Address' option and enter the E-Mail address of the System Manager.
              7. Press 'Contact Information' and enter information on where to contact the System Manager.
              8. Press 'Comment' to enter any comment for the System Manager.
              9. Press 'OK'
              10. Press 'Done' to return to normal mode.

                  Thank you very very much. You have saved my ass.

                  Also i dont know if we can scan in this machine coz that was my actual plan to setup scanner.

                  This looks quite different from other photo copier. I will try again to setup scanner with more confident. Let me know if we need any additional hardware

                      Yeah

                      It says " This function requires additional equipment" which i suppoise need to buy some additional hardware.

                      Just want to re confirm.
