    looking for imaging drum reset procedure for canon imageclass 8170c printer.

      The imaging drum can be reset,so one can extend the life of it. Like the HP1500 which is simular to it.

        go and buy a re-set chip online

              why would u think by removing the chip it would extend the life of the unit ?

                lbp5200 runs without chip until image problems
